It’s 4 o’ clock am, thursday 07 may 2009. I have nightmares. The one that woke me up this morning was about a big brick wall with a door, which I walked through. The person following me was cut in half by a guillotine that was built in the door. I am amazed what stress can do to me.
As I couldn’t sleep I decided to record a few sound effects that are missing or badly recorded in rm. Unfortunately the birds came on 20 minutes earlier than I expected, and started singing at 03.54. However, I had a good 30 minutes to record the sound of running water. Success. Now, I think it is time for me to review some material. There is no chance that I can go back to sleep, which is really very frustrating.
Yesterday (that was wednesday) I met Dominic C. Williams, Helen Bentley and Rich Warren. Rich was kind enough for me to talk through the problems of getting an HD projector to the Watershed for our show. Thinking about this in retrospect I’m somewhat happy about this. A well encoded SD DVD should be perfectly fine for us. I would rather spend the money on free drinks and food. Things we definitely need if we want to put a networking event on.
Yesterday also turned out that some of the recordings for rm (the 1920’s american clock) are useless. I asked Jane to bring in the clock in again. This time I’m going to record it in the voice over booth. Unfortunately her house is too noisy. It’s on a busy road in Clevedon.
