is this a good documentary?

I would ask this question from my tutors. I’ve seen a programme in the telly about the girl who won the ’86 Miss Hungary award and then commited suicide after receiving it. Considering how the program was made and also listening to my instinct I would say that this would have been a perfect student film. No, it’s not degrading the TV programme, rather saying that it’s standards are high up.
I found creative use of:

  1. archive footage
  2. still images
  3. music

The program was commisioned by the Hungarian Television and it was produced by a small company. The program won two awards but eventually was stopped in 2008. It aimed to explore pop music and its making in Hungary. This programme -understandably- focuses more on the fact that Edina, commited suicide. However the pop music element comes in, as the program reveals how a song was written by an actor to commemorate Edina’s death.

Unfortunately it has no subtitles.

Addendum to the post: following a comment received from tdl: The name of the girl is Edina. Check the website that is dedicated to all news cuttings and press releases related to her life and death. www.molnarcsilla.hu
